Interview with youth leader Felicia Luchianenco (Republic of Moldova)

Check out this interview with 18-year-old Moldovan youth, Felicia Luchianenco. She talks about taking classes at the Youth Media Centre in the capital of Moldova, explains her views on the role of media, and discusses why it is important for young people to create media.

Since 2003, the Youth Media Centre in Chisinau, Moldova has been creating a youth-to-youth and youth-to-adult information flow and has been promoting dialogue that allows youth voices to be at the center of the exchange. It has trained over 1,500 youth (roughly the population of a typical Moldovan village); it currently produces 75 school publications with a readership totaling 44,941; and the Centre’s youth have produced more than 130 radio shows.
