Taking Action Workshop Movie (Aboriginal youth in Kahnawake, Canada)

This video clip shows highlights from the May 2009 Taking Action Workshop in Kahnawake (near Montréal, QC, Canada).

The workshop focused on using 4 different art forms (photography, graffiti, visual arts, and theatre) to raise awareness about HIV and AIDS issues. In the video, you get to see examples of participants work in each of the different art forms as well as interviews with the youth coordinators/organizers and some participants.

Taking Action is a research project that is working with six Aboriginal communities in different parts of Canada for the next three years to develop youth leadership and involve communities in HIV prevention through the arts.
