The aim of this study was to assess and evaluate the impact of the Gimme 5 game as an innovative teaching strategy in HIV/AIDS life skills prevention programmes in grades r–12. It involved the training of 40 school educators in the use of the Gimme 5 board game to infuse HIV/AIDS and Life Skills into their course curriculum and to evaluate the process and outcomes of the game when played with respective learners.
